Methodology
Scandiweb asked AI assistants the questions people actually ask when choosing a brand. For each category, the same set of questions was run over a month across three AI assistants - ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity - tracking which brands came up in their answers.
Each brand is scored on three measures:
Visibility - how often the AI named it, out of all answers in its category
Sentiment - how positively the AI described it
Position - how early in the answer it appeared
These combine into a single score out of 100. Visibility matters most, sentiment plays a secondary role, and position acts as a tiebreaker when scores are close. The brand with the highest score in its category takes the top spot.
